This represents a cooling of support for the president, who held a more comfortable margin in June. The first-round outlook shows Lula holding 42.4%, while Bolsonaro trails with 28.7%. Other candidates remain in the single digits, with Ronaldo Caiado at 4.0%, Romeu Zema at 3.3%, and Renan Santos at 2.8%. If no contender reaches the 50% threshold, the two frontrunners will face off in a final vote. The CNT/MDA survey, which sampled 2,002 voters across 140 municipalities from August 5 to August 9, carries a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points.
