Chief Minister VD Satheesan visited Krishna’s family home on Monday, pledging state resources to sustain the rescue mission. The government is currently coordinating with the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard, deploying advanced technology to locate missing crew members from multiple recent incidents. Satheesan confirmed that the search remains relentless, pausing only when severe weather conditions create an immediate risk to the rescue teams.
Beyond the current crisis, the administration is drafting plans to modernize the Coastal Police by integrating traditional maritime knowledge with modern emergency protocols. Officials are also reviewing insurance regulations to provide better financial security for fishing communities. Opposition leaders Pinarayi Vijayan and Ramesh Chennithala have also engaged with the families of the missing, pressing for deeper coordination between state and central authorities to bolster maritime safety infrastructure.
