Gujarat Launches Tiranga Yatra to Promote National Unity

A 2.4-kilometre procession stretched from G-6 Circle to the Akshardham Temple on Monday, as Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the state's Tiranga Yatra. The march, featuring police displays and cultural performances, serves as a central pillar for the broader Har Ghar Tiranga campaign running through August 17.

Chief Minister Patel framed the event as more than a ceremonial display, pushing for the campaign to evolve from a flag-waving effort into a deeper national movement he termed Har Dil Tiranga. He stated the march serves to honor the sacrifices of freedom fighters while reinforcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat. The event drew key state leadership, including BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma and Education Minister Dr. Pradyuman Vaja, to showcase the state's commitment to the national initiative.

Organized by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and local administration, the Yatra integrated public engagement with displays of state discipline and culture. Attendees witnessed a performance by the Police Band and the department's Daredevils Show, moving the crowd along the route to the temple. Mayor Mira Patel highlighted the National Flag as a symbol of collective pride, urging residents to maintain the Nation First resolve as the country prepares for upcoming independence commemorations.
