Congress MP Manickam Tagore has already moved for an adjournment in the Lok Sabha to force a statement from Shah, while KC Venugopal is pushing for a full-scale debate on the financial integrity of the Ram Mandir donations. Beyond these flashpoints, the meeting will address the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, which Congress leaders have publicly vowed to oppose.
To ensure maximum pressure, the Congress party has issued a three-line whip for all Lok Sabha members to remain present from August 10 through August 12. This legislative maneuver aims to consolidate support as the government prepares to introduce contentious measures, including the Tribunals Reforms Bill and the Kerala Name Change Bill.
