VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments, noted that the market remains mildly bullish as the earnings season concludes with most firms beating profit projections. This resilience persists despite environmental variables like inconsistent monsoons, with strong domestic demand expected to sustain growth in sectors including banking, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and digital platforms.
Broader regional markets followed suit, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 surging 2.03% and Taiwan’s weighted index adding 1.87%. Looking ahead, technical analysts at Kotak Securities suggest the current positive momentum requires a breakthrough above the 24,800 or 79,400 resistance levels to trigger a more sustained uptrend. Conversely, a dip below immediate support levels could invite renewed selling pressure.
