Odisha Chief Minister Urges Eco-Friendly Har Ghar Tiranga Participation

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has issued a call for environmental responsibility during the upcoming Tiranga Yatra, urging citizens to abandon plastic flags in favor of sustainable cloth alternatives. The appeal arrives as the nationwide campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, gains momentum ahead of Independence Day celebrations.

Majhi leveraged his platform on X to champion the initiative, framing the movement as a catalyst for national unity and renewed patriotism. During the official launch of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on August Kranti Diwas, he joined local youth and public figures to emphasize the symbolic weight of the Tricolour.

Part of the broader Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the program invites citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes to honor the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle. Since its inception in 2022, the campaign has evolved into a staple of Indian Independence Day commemorations, aiming to foster a deep, personal connection between the public and the nation’s history.
