Modi to Host NDA Freshmen for Breakfast Dialogue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host approximately 45 first-time NDA Lok Sabha members at his residence tomorrow morning. The gathering serves as an orientation for newly elected lawmakers, including those who recently transitioned from opposition parties, following a similar briefing session held earlier this week for Rajya Sabha counterparts.

The upcoming breakfast session on August 7 marks a concerted effort by the Prime Minister to integrate new parliamentarians into the NDA’s legislative culture. Attendees include representatives from various backgrounds, such as the Shiv Sena and NCP, signaling an attempt to unify a diverse coalition of first-time legislators. Among the confirmed attendees is NCP leader Yusuf Pathan, who stated he intends to use the opportunity to engage directly with the Prime Minister on matters of national interest.

This meeting mirrors the guidance Modi provided to 37 Rajya Sabha MPs on August 5. During that session, the Prime Minister emphasized professional conduct, urging members to avoid the distractions of Lutyens’ Delhi and to maintain decorum on social media. Modi underscored the importance of Parliament as a learning institution, advising members to spend time in the library and interact meaningfully with youth constituents. He also cautioned against carrying parliamentary tensions into external public discourse, advocating for a calm, dignified approach to political debate regardless of party lines.
