He noted that several high-profile election pledges, such as monthly financial assistance for women and insurance schemes for delivery workers, were entirely absent from the latest fiscal planning. The BJP leader further took aim at the education sector, pointing to a significant drop in allocation for the School Education Department, which plummeted from 44 crore last year to just 2 crore in the current cycle.

Agriculture also faced scrutiny, as the party leader condemned a 700 crore reduction in the sector's budget. He claimed the government had failed to honor its commitment to provide 15,000 in assistance to farmers, characterizing the move as a direct act of neglect. Beyond rural concerns, Nagendran criticized the lack of investment in critical infrastructure, noting that the budget offers no roadmap for strengthening the state's roads or bridges.
