KP College cancels venue for Rahul Gandhi’s Prayagraj student rally

Chaudhary Jitendra Nath Singh, Acting President of the Kayasth Pathshala, formally notified the City Congress Committee that the college could not host the gathering. The decision rests on concerns that the event would displace students from two schools and potentially damage the ground during the monsoon season. Organizers have been instructed to collect their security deposit, effectively shutting the door on the original plan.

Despite the cancellation, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai remains defiant. During a review of the event preparations, Rai dismissed the setback as a minor hurdle, framing the rally as an unstoppable movement against the current administration. He vowed that Rahul Gandhi would proceed with the interaction, asserting that the party would not back down regardless of weather or logistical obstacles. The 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' campaign, which previously visited Kota and Dehradun, aims to mobilize youth support, though the specific location for the Prayagraj leg now remains in question.
