This diplomatic friction is mirrored in the foreign policy sphere, where Foreign Minister Cho Hyun noted that multilateral talks involving the U.S. and China remain realistically difficult. While Indonesia previously attempted to mediate dialogue, those efforts failed to gain traction with Pyongyang. Seoul now plans to prioritize these regional security challenges in upcoming high-level discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
