Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the flood-ravaged Nepalikhuti area in Sivasagar district to oversee the administration’s response. Accompanied by Minister Pijush Hazarika, Sarma inspected the destruction near the Assam-Nagaland border, where floodwaters have decimated agricultural livelihoods and private property. The Chief Minister directed local officials to accelerate assistance, prioritizing the immediate needs of residents who have lost their homes and resources to the ongoing environmental emergency.
