Ukrainian drone strike ignites massive blaze at Wildberries warehouse

Governor Alexander Avdeyev confirmed that 203 firefighters and 67 units of equipment were deployed to contain the blaze. While authorities reported that three people sustained minor injuries—including a young man with a non-life-threatening head wound—the company successfully evacuated all staff members. Shipments and logistics operations have been rerouted to alternative facilities to minimize disruption to the consumer supply chain.

CEO Tatyana Kim condemned the strikes, noting that over a dozen Wildberries sites have been targeted since July 18. She characterized these actions as terrorism, citing significant financial losses affecting vendors across 10 countries. The company is currently coordinating with the Russian government to stabilize operations for its platform users. Kyiv has increasingly focused on the retailer, often dubbed Russia's equivalent to Amazon, as a strategic pressure point within the domestic economy.
