Jagan Mohan Reddy labels Andhra Pradesh under Naidu a 'jungle raj'

The YSRCP chief singled out the arrest of Alur MLA Virupakshi, who was taken into custody by police at 2:45 a.m. Reddy claims the MLA was targeted for protecting a party worker from an assault by TDP supporters. According to the former CM, the subsequent filing of attempt-to-murder charges against the victim, rather than the attackers, reveals a systematic misuse of law enforcement for political vendetta. He further alleged that police seized CCTV hard disks from the MLA’s residence to conceal evidence of high-handedness during the operation.

Beyond the Alur incident, Reddy pointed to a wider pattern of arrests involving former minister Seediri Appala Raju in Srikakulam and former Guntur East MLA Shaik Mohammed Mustafa. He argued that these actions are calculated diversions designed to stifle criticism from the younger generation regarding unfulfilled government promises, including the status of the DSC-2025 examination and pending educational scholarship disbursements. By framing the current administration as an authoritarian regime, Reddy vowed that his party would continue to challenge the government despite the ongoing legal pressure.
