Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s administration faces mounting pressure from far-right rivals, including a new party led by Roberto Vannacci, and is under fire from center-left opponents for adopting populist tactics to address migration concerns. The suspension arrives even as Spanish authorities report that most of the 50,000 migrants who recently entered the North African enclave have already returned to Morocco.
