President Emmanuel Macron has initiated direct contact with both Spanish and Moroccan authorities to address the escalating migration crisis. The French government indicated that it stands prepared to provide logistical and operational support should the situation require external intervention.
In a move to tighten regional security, Macron has instructed Interior Minister Laurent Nunez to intensify surveillance and increase checks along France’s southern borders with Spain. These measures aim to curb unauthorized transit as authorities grapple with the scale of the arrivals in Ceuta.
