The company’s productivity initiative proved the primary engine for this growth, yielding €90 million in savings between January and June. These cost reductions across supply chain and corporate divisions are part of a broader strategy to secure €500 million in annual savings. Alongside these efficiencies, organic sales climbed 4.7%, comfortably outperforming the 3.4% growth initially projected by internal analysts.
While the firm capitalized on favorable weather, second-quarter growth slowed to 4.9%, down from the 7% recorded during the same period last year. Despite this deceleration, the overall first-half gains were bolstered by higher-than-expected sales volumes and aggressive pricing. Executives have opted to maintain their existing financial guidance for the remainder of the year, focusing instead on consistent operational execution to sustain momentum in a competitive market.
