Russian Strikes Hit Ukrainian Cargo Vessels and Port Infrastructure

Russian forces struck two Ukrainian vessels and critical port infrastructure in Mykolaiv, according to a Tuesday statement from the Russian Defence Ministry. The attacks targeted a bulk carrier carrying military supplies and a transshipment complex used for storing fuel and logistics equipment intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russian Strikes Hit Ukrainian Cargo Vessels and Port Infrastructure

A Russian unmanned aerial vehicle hit a dry cargo vessel in the strait east of Odesa, which was transporting military supplies to the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk. Simultaneously, drone strikes targeted the port of Mykolaiv, causing damage to storage facilities and logistics hubs used by the Ukrainian military.

These strikes mark a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict within the Black Sea and Sea of Azov regions. Over recent weeks, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have intensified their maritime activity, resulting in frequent attacks on vessels as both sides scramble to disrupt supply chains and deny the other access to key logistical nodes.
