Wildberries Allocates 40 Million Roubles Following Warehouse Strikes

Eight logistics centers belonging to Wildberries have faced drone strikes since mid-July, leaving the retailer to manage a mounting humanitarian toll. The company confirmed on Tuesday that it has disbursed 40 million roubles to families of workers killed or injured in the attacks, which have crippled over 10% of its national infrastructure.

The first of these strikes occurred on July 18, resulting in the deaths of eight employees and sparking a significant disruption to the retailer's supply chain. Management moved to address the immediate aftermath, ensuring that financial aid reached the affected families by July 21.

While the company continues to navigate the operational fallout of losing a tenth of its logistics capacity, this payout serves as the primary mechanism for supporting those impacted by the hostilities. The commitment follows a series of security challenges that have forced the firm to re-evaluate the safety of its regional facilities.
