The company’s target of 12 billion to 13 billion euros in adjusted earnings represents a sharp climb from the 7.13 billion euros recorded in 2025. While short-term challenges, including engine shortages and fragile supply chains, continue to complicate the path, Airbus maintains its 2026 guidance of 7.5 billion euros as a foundational milestone for this expansion.
Driving this growth is the commercial aircraft division, which accounts for the lion’s share of the projected earnings. Executives expect this sector alone to generate roughly 10 billion euros in operating profit by 2029. This trajectory aligns with recent assessments from J.P. Morgan analysts who previously identified this level of profitability as a viable objective for the aerospace giant.
