Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Russian Warehouses and Oil Infrastructure

Seven night-shift workers died instantly when a Ukrainian drone strike tore through a Wildberries warehouse in Russia’s Tambov region, marking a lethal escalation in cross-border aerial operations. The weekend assault left dozens injured across multiple facilities, forcing emergency evacuations and triggering a massive fire at an oil depot near Moscow.

The strike in Tambov represents a significant blow to the logistics network of Russia’s largest online retailer. Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov confirmed the casualties, noting that while air defense systems intercepted 28 drones in the area, the impact caused widespread destruction. Simultaneously, a separate attack on a Wildberries facility in Elektrostal resulted in 24 injuries, prompting CEO Tatyana Kim to issue a public statement regarding the mounting human toll.

Beyond the retail centers, the infrastructure damage extended to Noginsk. Debris from downed drones ignited an oil depot, creating a hazardous situation that forced authorities to evacuate a nearby maternity hospital. Regional officials continue to assess the impact of these coordinated strikes as emergency services work to contain the blazes and provide care to the wounded.
