US Prepares Escalation as Iran Issues 'Zero Hour' Warning

The Strait of Hormuz has become the epicenter of a widening conflict, with Washington deploying refueling tankers to Israel while Tehran claims it has struck American aircraft in Jordan. Following the collapse of last month’s ceasefire, both nations are bracing for a potential expansion of hostilities into Iranian nuclear infrastructure.

US Prepares Escalation as Iran Issues 'Zero Hour' Warning

President Donald Trump is weighing a series of high-stakes military options, including strikes on Iranian power plants and the heavily fortified Pickaxe Mountain facility. These potential targets, discussed during a recent White House Situation Room meeting, aim to pressure the Iranian regime into reopening the Strait of Hormuz and capitulating to new nuclear demands. The administration is coordinating this strategy with Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Simultaneously, the Revolutionary Guards have signaled a shift toward direct confrontation. Tehran asserts that its forces have destroyed multiple US jets and refueling planes in Jordan, retaliating for recent airstrikes that left at least eight dead. While the IRGC claims to have hit a US base in Syria—a facility vacated months ago—its naval command has issued a direct threat, warning that American forces are approaching the "zero hour" of an Iranian counter-operation. For five consecutive days, US forces have targeted the port city of Bandar Abbas, a critical logistics hub for the Revolutionary Guards, as the battle for control over the strategic strait intensifies.
