The BRS leader accused the Chief Minister of masterfully distracting the public while failing to address critical infrastructure issues. Central to his critique is the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, where KTR described the withholding of water as a deliberate criminal act. He contends that the administration is weaponizing the National Dam Safety Authority’s advisory role to evade responsibility for the water crisis.
Beyond technical governance, KTR took aim at the national Congress leadership, specifically Rahul Gandhi, for maintaining silence regarding Reddy’s rhetoric. He also signaled a shift in BRS strategy, announcing a statewide tour intended to reconnect with the electorate and reassert the party’s historical ties to Telangana’s identity. The critique extended to alleged corruption within land management, directly implicating Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in irregular practices.
Looking toward the national stage, KTR cautioned the central government against penalizing southern states during the upcoming delimitation process. He argued that states with successful population control measures should not lose their parliamentary representation. Despite recent electoral setbacks, KTR remains adamant that the BRS will regain public trust by centering its platform on regional progress and accountability.
