Serhiy Lysak, the regional military administration head, confirmed the fatalities and reported that three additional victims remain hospitalized. The strike follows a separate drone attack late Tuesday that hit port facilities, injuring two people and damaging a Marshall Islands-flagged civilian vessel.

Governor Oleh Kiper noted that the persistent targeting of the Greater Odesa area aims to cripple deepwater ports. These facilities serve as the primary lifeline for Ukrainian exports, and the recent surge in aerial assaults underscores a deliberate strategy to disrupt trade routes that have remained operational despite the ongoing conflict.
