The recruitment drive includes 751 Assistant Medical Officers and 1,393 Health Inspectors, positions critical to the state’s frontline healthcare delivery. During the ceremony hosted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a series of infrastructure projects valued at 140 crore rupees. State Health Minister K. G. Arunraj described the expansion as a transformative milestone for the department, citing the Chief Minister’s leadership as the primary driver behind the surge in personnel.
Beyond the health sector, Vijay continues to consolidate his administrative presence through direct constituency engagement. Following his meeting with Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to India, Azamat Yeskarayev, at the Chennai Secretariat, the Chief Minister traveled to Perambur to open a new MLA office. This move serves to anchor his visibility in the region, ensuring that local administrative duties remain a priority alongside his broader state-level health policy mandates.
