Bhatia asserted during a press conference that Kejriwal’s calculated silence during the Delhi riots functioned as a catalyst for the violence, allowing a targeted conspiracy to unfold. He characterized the AAP leader’s stance as a cynical pursuit of vote-bank politics, indifferent to the loss of life among public servants and civilians alike.
Expanding his critique, Bhatia linked the AAP leadership to the broader political strategy of the Congress party. He accused Sonia and Rahul Gandhi of inciting public unrest through misleading rhetoric regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act. The BJP is now demanding formal apologies from both Kejriwal and the Gandhi family, insisting that the state must pursue tougher legal consequences for leaders who stoked communal tensions during the 2020 unrest.
