Russian Missile Barrage Hits Kyiv and Regional Centers

Tuesday morning’s missile assault on Kyiv triggered widespread fires across multiple districts, marking a sharp escalation in regional targeting. While the capital’s air alert system stood down after 50 minutes, the offensive simultaneously struck residential sectors in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv, leaving at least 17 civilians wounded across the country.

In the capital, military administration head Tymur Tkachenko confirmed that strikes ignited blazes within storage facilities in the Holosiivskyi district. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that falling drone debris ignited several vehicles in the eastern suburbs, though emergency crews reported no immediate fatalities following the bombardment.

The violence extended well beyond the capital. Emergency services in Zaporizhzhia confirmed that Russian drone strikes hit residential areas, resulting in 11 injuries. Simultaneously, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported that a separate drone attack outside Kharkiv left six individuals wounded. Military and rescue teams remain active at the impact sites to clear debris and provide aid to those affected by the morning strikes.
