Organized by the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement, the march underscored a growing demand for transparency in cases of enforced disappearances that continue to haunt local political circles.

District President Saeed Tiyuno and Taluka President Majid Lashari led the demonstration, framing the disappearance of Soomro as a fundamental challenge to the rule of law in Sindh. Supporters carried banners throughout the city, calling for an immediate end to practices that keep political figures held in secret custody without charge.

Beyond the specific case of Soomro, speakers addressed the psychological burden placed on the families of the missing. The movement’s leadership insisted that if the state holds evidence against these individuals, they must be brought before a court of law to face due process. The JSFM maintains that peaceful political expression remains a protected right and insists that all disappeared Sindhi activists be granted immediate release or a fair trial.
