Ministers gathered in Brussels today to bridge remaining gaps in the proposal, which aims to tighten economic pressure on Moscow. While Kallas expressed optimism regarding the scale of the new listings, she conceded that several sticking points persist among member states before a full consensus can be reached. The proposed 250 designations would surpass any previous round of restrictive measures, signaling a concerted effort to broaden the reach of EU policy beyond existing targets. The outcome of these discussions will determine whether the bloc successfully secures the necessary unanimity required to formalize the package.
