Running from July 13 to 17, the delegation will prioritize sectors including digital technology, clean energy, and heavy manufacturing. Goyal is scheduled to co-chair the third India-EU Trade and Technology Council ministerial meeting in Brussels, joined by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Minister Jitin Prasada. This gathering serves as the primary forum to operationalize the India-European Union trade framework finalized earlier this year.
Beyond formal government talks, the tour focuses on scaling the reach of Indian MSMEs, farmers, and fishermen under the current administration's trade policy. By leveraging duty-free export provisions, the ministry seeks to integrate Indian producers more deeply into European value chains. The visit signals a shift toward collaborative investment and sustainability, moving past traditional trade models to secure long-term industrial cooperation.
