Despite the attempt to project cohesion, the diplomatic reality between Havana and Washington remains stagnant. Foreign ministry officials confirmed that ongoing sanctions continue to paralyze significant progress, a sentiment echoed during recent United Nations proceedings. While Cuba pushed for a formal condemnation of the American blockade, U.S. representatives deflected the critique, maintaining that Cuba’s domestic crises stem from its own governance failures rather than external economic pressure.
