Nishad dismissed the opposition’s critique, arguing that Ayodhya has transformed into a premier hub for global tourism and devotion, eclipsing traditional holiday destinations. He contended that the Samajwadi Party’s recent focus on temple finances is a calculated maneuver to distract from their failure to attend the temple's consecration ceremony. According to Nishad, the temple now stands as a symbol of cultural pride rather than a site for political maneuvering.
The friction stems from Yadav’s meeting with spiritual leader Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, where the SP leader alleged that temple funds were being mishandled. Yadav went further, claiming that a senior BJP figure was involved in the distribution of counterfeit donation receipts. He explicitly rejected the government-appointed Special Investigation Team tasked with probing the matter, labeling the inquiry a tactical whitewash designed to protect party interests. For Yadav, the sanctity of religious offerings has been compromised, sparking a debate that shows no signs of cooling.
