Among the recipients is Vimal, who lost his toddler son, Thruvish, in the tragedy. Having previously traveled to Chennai to meet the Chief Minister, Vimal expressed a measured hope regarding the state's assistance, noting that while the loss of his child remains irreparable, he views the offer of employment as a necessary step forward. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Atlas Kalai Arangam Grounds, where the Chief Minister will finalize the distribution process for all identified legal heirs.
Beyond the outreach program, the Chief Minister’s itinerary includes a stop at the District Collectorate in Thanthoni Malai to distribute welfare benefits. He is also set to break ground on a Rs 1,700 crore non-leather footwear manufacturing facility in Vanavasi Panchayat. Local authorities have implemented rigorous security measures across the district, utilizing QR code-based access and heavy police presence to manage the crowds expected at the various event sites throughout the day.
