Bibeault plans to leverage the October 14–16 summit to showcase the company's MineHive programme, an initiative currently operating in Zambia. By providing technical and financial support to small-scale miners, the program aims to elevate environmental standards and productivity while integrating these informal operators into the broader copper market.
Beyond community engagement, Makor Resources is aggressively scaling its Zambian exploration footprint. The company is currently advancing the Muli Copper Project in the country’s Central region alongside active exploration at the Kangili site in the Mkushi District. To accelerate these efforts, the firm has committed $3 million for 2026 to refine geological data through remote sensing and systematic sampling. This expenditure acts as a primary component of a wider investment strategy, with management targeting a total capital deployment of $20 million to $30 million to solidify its position in the region's mining sector.
