Booth Level Officers are currently engaged in a door-to-door verification drive across the state to collect and distribute enumeration forms. The government has mobilized local volunteers to assist residents with the registration process, which runs alongside the ongoing administrative work to finalize the rolls. CM Mann, speaking in a video address, linked the importance of democratic participation to the government’s recent financial disbursements to women, framing the electoral update as a necessary step for all citizens.
Nationally, the effort involves over 3.94 lakh Booth Level Officers supported by 3.42 lakh party-appointed agents. In Punjab, the administrative schedule is strictly defined: draft rolls will appear on July 31, with a window for claims and objections open until August 30. Following a resolution phase ending September 28, the final electoral roll is scheduled for public release on October 1.
