Donation Probe Follows Opposition Attack on Madhya Pradesh Temple

Madhya Pradesh Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar accused the ruling BJP of presiding over systemic financial irregularities at the Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Agar Malwa. Singhar challenged the party's commitment to protecting religious sites, citing a pattern of unresolved donation scandals across prominent temples in the region.

Singhar linked the current controversy to previous incidents of theft and mismanagement at the Ayodhya and Raja Ram temples in Orchha, demanding accountability for the missing funds. He criticized the BJP for remaining silent on these financial breaches despite their public platform of temple preservation.

In response, Minister for Culture and Religious Trust Dharmendra Lodhi announced that a three-member committee led by District Panchayat CEO B S Solanki has been formed to investigate the claims. The panel is expected to submit its findings within seven days, with the government promising that those responsible for the irregularities will face legal consequences.
