Iran Claims U.S. Violations Threaten Regional Stability

His remarks follow a volatile week of maritime incidents in the Strait of Hormuz that have pushed the region toward open conflict.

Qalibaf linked the current diplomatic friction to specific American actions, including threats of further strikes and direct military aggression. He argued that these moves undermine Iranian interests, particularly regarding maritime transit through the Strait of Hormuz, where a series of tanker attacks recently disrupted international shipping lanes. The Speaker also condemned ongoing Israeli military operations in Lebanon, framing the broader regional instability as a consequence of U.S. policy.

These accusations emerge as the U.S. military conducts operations in response to reports of projectiles targeting three tankers near the strategic strait. By positioning these events as a breach of established protocols, Qalibaf signaled that Tehran intends to resist what he described as a cycle of bullying and economic extortion, despite the mounting pressure on the regional ceasefire.
