Chauhan delivered his remarks during a visit to the Jakhu Hanuman Temple in Shimla, accompanied by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and fellow Congress leaders. He stressed that the issue extends beyond simple financial impropriety, touching upon the deep religious sentiments of those who contributed to the site's development.

The minister expressed skepticism regarding the central government's ability to ensure accountability for the alleged crimes. Lacking confidence in the current political administration, he appealed for divine intervention from Hanuman to protect the ideals of the Ram Temple from further desecration.
