Congress Targets Modi and RSS Over Ram Mandir Financial Oversight

The Congress party has launched a sharp critique of the Ram Mandir project management, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat of presiding over a structure defined by financial opacity. Senior leader Pawan Khera claims the project operates under a veil of micro-managed political influence.

During a press briefing on Monday, Khera challenged the accountability of the Ram Mandir Trust, specifically naming Treasurer Govind Dev Giri. The opposition party alleges that irregularities in land acquisitions near the Ayodhya site point to mismanagement, citing inflated purchase prices for plots that appear disconnected from the temple’s core mission.

Khera further scrutinized the administrative oversight of the project, taking aim at Nripendra Misra’s involvement. Beyond fiscal concerns, the Congress leadership criticized the personal conduct of officials associated with the Trust, suggesting that the current governance model serves to entrench RSS influence rather than ensure transparency in handling public contributions.
