In a direct appeal to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Owaisi highlighted the bureaucratic hurdles currently blocking low-income families from accessing basic government services and electoral participation. He contends that the lack of standardized documentation creates an unnecessary administrative barrier that could be resolved by adopting policies similar to those currently in effect under the Congress-led government in Karnataka.
Beyond his critique of the state leadership, Owaisi took aim at Telangana’s two BJP lawmakers. He accused them of failing to pressure the Election Commission to broaden the scope of accepted identification, such as PAN cards and driving licenses, which would simplify the verification process for those without traditional residency proof. The MP emphasized that the government must move beyond passive governance to ensure these citizens are not excluded from the democratic process.
