The JD(S) leader accused state officials of compromising the integrity of the process in constituencies such as Yeshwanthpur and Ramanagara, claiming the exercise has abandoned Election Commission of India guidelines. Kumaraswamy specifically targeted KPCC President BK Hariprasad and Home Minister Priyank Kharge, questioning their silence on what he described as widespread irregularities. He intends to travel to New Delhi on Monday to present a formal complaint to the Election Commission, requesting the appointment of an external officer to oversee a completely new revision.
Beyond electoral concerns, the Minister criticized the state’s handling of street vendor evictions in Bengaluru. While acknowledging the necessity of following Supreme Court rulings on footpath clearances, he argued the government has failed its duty to provide rehabilitation for displaced families. Furthermore, he dismissed the current administration’s first-month performance as a series of empty announcements, specifically citing unfulfilled promises regarding 76,000 government job vacancies and the alleged misuse of public funds for political initiatives.
