Russian Strikes Across Eastern Ukraine Leave Three Dead

A seven-year-old child was among three civilians killed in a wave of Russian strikes across eastern Ukraine on Thursday. Regional officials confirmed the casualties in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, where ongoing artillery and aerial bombardments continue to devastate residential areas and local infrastructure near the front lines.

In Nikopol, a city frequently targeted due to its proximity to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, one resident died and three others sustained injuries, according to Dnipropetrovsk Governor Oleksandr Hanzha. The violence intensified near Synelnykove, where a separate strike claimed the life of the young child and wounded two other minors. Further east, Governor Vadym Filashkin reported that Russian forces dropped seven bombs on the village of Oleksandrivka in the Donetsk region, resulting in one death and two injuries. Moscow-appointed officials also noted an additional fatality southwest of Donetsk, while simultaneously claiming that a Ukrainian drone strike on a minibus in the Luhansk region left nine people injured. Independent verification of these battlefield reports remains constrained by the active nature of the conflict.
