Fagbule brings a substantial track record to the role, having joined the corporation in 2009. Since 2017, he led the financial advisory business, overseeing the execution of transactions valued at over $12 billion. His expertise spans critical sectors including power, telecommunications, and heavy industry, as well as complex advisory work for sovereign wealth funds and government entities.
Samaila Zubairu, President and CEO of AFC, noted that the promotion underscores the region's rising strategic importance and the corporation's internal leadership development. From the Nairobi office, Fagbule is tasked with expanding the existing project pipeline and securing long-term capital for large-scale developments. This appointment coincides with a period of intensified activity for the firm, which recently backed the expansion of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and invested in the Dhamana Guarantee Company. Fagbule holds an MBA and degrees from Harvard and Stanford, providing the technical foundation to manage the corporation's growing portfolio in the region.
