Kejriwal Challenges Amit Shah Over Ram Temple Absence

Arvind Kejriwal has turned his sights on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, questioning why the senior leader has yet to visit the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The AAP national convenor suggests a sharp disconnect between Shah’s frequent invocations of Lord Ram in political speeches and his absence from the site.

Kejriwal Challenges Amit Shah Over Ram Temple Absence

Kejriwal claims Shah uses the deity’s name primarily to secure votes, noting that the Home Minister has referenced Lord Ram more than 42 times in public addresses since the temple's consecration two and a half years ago. For Kejriwal, the physical absence of a prominent leader from the temple grounds serves as a political barometer, particularly as scrutiny intensifies regarding the management of temple contributions.

The timing of these remarks coincides with a widening financial scandal surrounding temple donations. A local court has remanded eight suspects to judicial custody as a Special Investigation Team continues to unravel the alleged misappropriation of funds. By linking the ongoing investigation to Shah’s silence, Kejriwal is attempting to pressure the BJP leadership to address both the integrity of the temple's finances and the consistency of their public religious messaging.
