Former AIADMK Ministers Switch Allegiances to TVK

Two high-profile former Tamil Nadu ministers, C Vijayabaskar and MR Vijayabaskar, have abandoned the AIADMK to join the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Their move, scheduled for formalization on July 2, signals a major realignment in state politics as they pledge their support to the leadership of Joseph Vijay.

C Vijayabaskar, who navigated the state's health sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, stated his intent to refocus his public service efforts under the TVK banner. His counterpart, MR Vijayabaskar, highlighted his past initiatives within the Transport Department and his community work in Karur as the foundation for this new political chapter. Both men expressed a shared belief that the emerging party offers a more effective platform for state development.

The official induction is set for 9 am at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Mahabalipuram. By absorbing these seasoned figures, the TVK aims to bolster its organizational depth and challenge the established political order in Tamil Nadu.
