Congress Delegation Blocked From Ayodhya Ram Temple

Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai remains confined to his residence as a delegation of party leaders faces a strict security blockade outside the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Authorities have cordoned off access to the site, effectively halting the group's planned visit despite their insistence on its purely religious nature.

Congress MP KL Sharma condemned the heavy security deployment, which appeared overnight to preempt the delegation's arrival. He rejected claims that the visit carried political motives, instead labeling the administrative obstruction a deliberate effort to shield the government from scrutiny. The standoff intensified as Congress representatives alleged that officials were acting to prevent public awareness of ongoing controversies surrounding the temple's management.

Ajay Rai linked the blockade to broader tensions, accusing the BJP and RSS of mishandling temple donations and undermining the sanctity of the site. Facing the prospect of arrest, Rai and his colleagues have signaled their intent to continue their protest, including the possibility of fasting, to secure what they describe as their fundamental right to worship at the shrine.
