On June 10, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle abandoned on County Road 86, located roughly 80 miles northeast of Montgomery. Upon arrival, officers found the pair in a wooded area near the idling car. Investigators believe the murder occurred the previous night, leaving Robbins to collapse while moving the body of his partner, a mother of three.
District Attorney Mike Segrest confirmed that an autopsy performed by state forensic experts officially ruled Folds' death a strangulation. While the precise location of the initial assault remains unknown, authorities have classified the case as an act of domestic violence. Robbins, who had a known history of heart ailments, was discovered in a fetal position beside his victim. The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation continues to process the scene.
